What you bring with you:
- Secondary school leaving certificate or a comparable qualification
- B2 language level (only necessary if the school leaving certificate was not obtained in Germany)

Furthermore, for admission to an external examination, relevant socio-educational work experience in a child day care centre of 32 weeks (960 hours) as well as appropriate preparation for the examination are expected. As this further training/retraining programme is structured in such a way that the required work experience is integrated into the course period as an internship, the latter requirements are met by participating in the course. You can also complete the required first aid course with us free of charge during the course.

In a personal interview with the course or pedagogical director, you will see together what you already bring to our course.
Please note that the extended certificate of good conduct (mandatory for the internship) must be free of entries.

Socio-educational assistants earn on average between €3,200 and €3,800 gross per month.

Salaries vary depending on the federal state and the employer.
Public sector employees are often paid more, as they also receive holiday and Christmas bonuses

We will prepare you for your new job as a social education assistant and the state external examination in 16 months (full-time) or 28 months (part-time).

In 16 Monate bereiten wir Dich auf die staatliche Externenprüfung vor. In 1570 Unterrichtseinheiten lernst Du alle überregionalen Lernfelder kennen. Diese sind z.B.:

We spend part of the lessons preparing for the exam. Between registering for the exam and the exam itself, you will receive a so-called "handout" from the school that will ultimately conduct the exam. You will hand over this list of exam-relevant topics to your course leader. They will then organise the rest of the course specifically to meet your requirements. You will be specifically prepared for the "moment" in further exercises, repetitions, performance records and exam simulations.

As a rule, the admission requirements also include appropriate experience, which is why we have planned 1,032 hours of practical experience (company learning phase) over the 16 months. In Hamburg, at least 640 hours are expected on the day of registration for the examination. You will need a total of 960 hours before the exams themselves.

The course is AZAV certified, i.e. it can be paid for by the Employment Agency, JobCentre, pension insurance at 100%. It is also possible for your employer or potential employer to cover the costs. Bei uns kannst Du die trägerinterne Prüfung mit den gleichen Prüfungen (als Prüfungssimulation für eine optimale Vorbereitung für die Externenprüfung) wie an der jeweiligen Fachschule absolvieren.

Die staatliche Prüfung (Externeprüfung / Nichtschülerprüfung) absolvierst Du direkt an der Fachschule. Diese umfasst i.d.R. einen schriftlichen, einen praktischen und einen mündlichen Teil.

Es gibt einen trägerinternen Abschluss zur sozialpädagogischen Assistenz sowie einen externen (staatlichen) Abschluss. Der externe Abschluss ist erforderlich, wenn Du die staatliche Anerkennung erlangen möchtest.

Bei uns werden alle Prüfungen unter denselben Bedingungen geschrieben wie an der prüfenden Schule. Dies dient als Prüfungssimulation und ermöglicht eine optimale Vorbereitung auf die (staatliche) Externenprüfung. Zudem bietet es eine Möglichkeit für diejenigen, die die Zulassungsvoraussetzungen der staatlichen Stelle nicht erfüllen, sich dennoch umfassend auf die Arbeit in diesem Berufsfeld (z.B. für länderspezifische Sonder-/Quer- und Einstiegsmöglichkeiten) vorzubereiten.

Da der staatliche Abschluss länderspezifisch geregelt ist, sind auch die Prüfungen an die Vorgaben des jeweiligen Bundeslandes gebunden. Ein Beispiel: In Hamburg ist Englisch ein Prüfungsfach, in Schleswig-Holstein nicht.

Lessons can be taken hybrid, online or face-to-face, with most learners now favouring online learning.

We are a Microsoft-certified training provider and work with TEAMS, among others. If you ever miss a lesson, you can review the material conveniently and independently with the video recording - regardless of time and place.

The theoretical lessons take place in presence, hybrid or online. The training programme comprises 1400 theoretical lessons.
