Social and care counsellor - Case management
Profession of the future, full-time and part-time
Perspectives
What career fields, job prospects and opportunities do I have?
According to the Federal Statistical Office*, the number of people aged 67 and over is expected to rise by 22% between 2020 and 2035, from 16 million to 20 million. This is expected to lead to an increase in chronically ill, multimorbid and very old patients.
According to the Federal Statistical Office, the "childless rate" has also risen and every fifth woman is childless. The intergenerational contract "children care for and finance their parents" is therefore no longer working and professional support from care managers, case managers and case managers is needed to minimise the ever-increasing costs of the various social service providers.
